Build on the counter
gun stores already run

A REST API and signed webhooks for products, inventory, customers, orders and range bookings.

curl https://app.ironregister.com/api/v1/products?updated_since=2026-09-24T00:00:00Z \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer ir_live_…"

What you can build

Connect the systems around the register

How it works

Secure by default, configurable by the owner

Scoped keys

The shop owner issues each key with none, read or write per resource, optional store limits, IP allowlists and expiry. Roll with a grace period; revoke instantly.

Signed webhooks

28 event types, HMAC-SHA256 signatures with secret rotation, retries for about 37 hours, a delivery log with resend, and a catch-up feed.

Built for syncing

Cursor pagination, updated_since on every list, Idempotency-Key on every write, and external_reference on orders so retries never double-sell.

Federal records stay put

The bound book, Form 4473, NICS results, 3310 reports, FFL transfers and customer ID documents are not in the API at any permission level.

Plans

Included on Established and Enterprise

Established includes the API at 60 requests a minute and 10,000 a day. Enterprise raises it to 600 a minute with no daily cap. Limits are per shop and shared by its keys. Getting Started doesn't include API access.

Sandbox

A test shop that keeps moving

Development partners get their own sandbox shop with a real catalog, customers and history. Every day brings new sales, receivings and bookings, so your syncs and webhooks see real traffic. It's rebuilt weekly.
